Traits

A compact, ribbed hybrid producing large, vivid pink to magenta flowers with warmer red-orange tones towards the throat and prominent pale stamens. The plant readily produces basal offsets.

Origin & history

From the cross ‘Josy’ × ‘Red Wine Berry’ (breeder’s cross number KHY2019.8). Documented coloured-flower hybrid maintained in the Christchurch collection.

Notes

Produces large, vivid multi-toned flowers and readily develops basal offsets. Frequently used as a parent in San Pedro NZ breeding crosses, including combinations with ‘Spring Blush’ and ‘Morning Glory’.
